This is a competition to design a web page using less than 5120 bytes. In 2001 the page may be 'HTML only' or 'anything goes', but once again the judges are free to use whatever browsers and plug-ins they choose, so relying on too many add-ons may be a mistake. I have chosen to use HTML only.

I entered this competition in 2000 with this entry: 5k 2000

I believe my entry was overlooked. The organiser was overwhelmed by 20 times more entries than expected.
So I re-entered the competition in 2001 with substantially the same entry as before. This year all the entries can be viewed on line for general rating and discussion before being submitted to the judges. In the light of this discussion I have re-written the way my entry works.

Unfortunately the competition is now over so I am unable to submit this much improved version, so once again no prizes.
However I continue to enjoy the discussion and the challenge!

If there is a 5k 2002 I shall probably try again, but I shall need some new ideas.
